Nels, just watch for the "eyes glazing over" when you suggest something novel to corporate man. have you seen the "satellite 5 " episodes of new Dr Who. rupert murdoch's "final fantasy".

I think I know who you're talking about. He was a Chinese -Hawaiian guy who became a local politician in the 80's? I remember seeing him surf when I was a kid; he used crutches to walk and rode a fiberglass board prone/knee/sitting. Don't remember his surname, but I'm sure it was Chinese. It's quite possible he's still holding some office in Hawaii. Politicians usually have very long tenures there. |

Well, didn't know him or see him in person but that sounds familar...I think there was a segment on him in an old surf movie. We're talking 1960's, right? Haven't got a clue what movie or who did it though. |

Og-Azn,
Memory works that way. I did a bit of searching and found Fred Hemmings had polio and was also a political figure, however, he didn't fit the paipo bill as far as I know. I was going to ask John Clark, however he is busy at present.
I recently e-mailed kage regarding how he was going catching up with you. I haven;t heard back so I am assuming he feels he can still catch up.
regards
