Postscript, Subject: Thank you isabelle [Isidore]. I surfed for almost 6 hours today. It was the most fun I had on the gulf coast in a very long time. The surf was waist-chest high perfection. Thick groundswell with 10knot offshores. I avoided the crowded spots by finding a nice sandbar groin in front of a friend's beachside house. I had enough elbow room to only give up a couple waves to other people. Most of the waves were peeling hollow over knee-deep sand. It was a little tricky but the good rides were fast. Lots of tuck-tube close outs. The only bad thing today was I broke a board, my 6'8" Weber Pig. I got too high on a lip and it flipped out under me. I cut my foot on the skeg and buckeled the board with my knee. I had a longboard with me as well, with a single fin setup. It didn't pump down the face as well so I concentrated on the smooth glide. the waves might last all week. The Thermos curse is broken. Instant Karma's gonna get you. Ferg. |
