I will be in the Seaside, OR area this weekend with an old schoolmate from Puerto Rico. Anybody from the area have a bead on the surf, weather, water temp forecasts?
Thanks _________________ rodNDtube

We have a decent N.W. swell, maxing around 20-22 ft. in the next few hours. I am on it at dawn, riding a kneeboard gun.It will have diminished to a playful 8-10 ft.,by the time you get on it. Wrong direction for Seaside, Short Sands will be your best bet.A 5/4/3 Excel, 7ml booties, 5ml gloves, and Gath work for me.Cleanline, or Seaside Surfshop will have rentals. |

We had a great time over the weekend with the Seaside Points going off in the morning (pics when I return in a few weeks) and Short Sands breaking well in the afternoon. Sunday the size had dropped way off but still fun to go out in not-too-cold conditions with sunshine both days. Blue Crushies from Oregon spots out in force with all the gear and their dogs. _________________ rodNDtube
