I came across this in the archives - anyone got a copy?
September 1969 (VOLUME 10, NO. 4) issue of SURFER: 'The Legend of Spyder Wills', by Drew Kampion
He was mentioned as a paipo rider.

I will check it out in a couple of days - just might have that edition. Also received the emails from John Clark and did a quick read of them - been out of town the past 3 days and am hopping the DP express tomorrow for the 2nd half of Hurricane Bill. Will follow-up later - thanks for requesting the release for public sharing. _________________ rodNDtube

Rod,
Thanks - that issue sounds like a classic. John seems to have checked all the permissions and I am sure there is other material he got because it sounds like they all had a great time. Have asked John about another interview, with an under-recognised paipo rider from the 70s. If it works out, I'll let you know,
Good luck with the hurricane.

Bob and others,
Turns out I do not have that issue - do have a number of others before and after it. Anyone else?
Another interview sounds good to me! _________________ rodNDtube

Made a minor change to the forum configuration settings - not getting an error message during a posting reply, but also not receiving an e-mail notice of a reply. Trade-offs! _________________ rodNDtube

It must have been one of the 4 different setting configurations I tested. I was tiring of receiving the false SMTP error so changed everything to NULL. May have to contact the service provider on this one. However, the good news is that I received an email for your post so maybe things are working now without the error msg. _________________ rodNDtube
