Lucky me, I have business taking me over to the big island the week of Oct 14-18! Woohoo as they say. Anybody around that would like to meet up for a surf? I will be on the Kona side, but can probably get over to the Hilo side for a day. If not, any reccomendations for good spots this time of year? |

Aloha Kage,
There is a NW (345-360 degrees) swell brewing for the Big Island right now. Sadly, O'ahu and Maui block most of the N and NW swell from our shores. There may be some NW that sneaks down the channel, but it takes a really big NW or a WNW to work well.
If there is any SW left, Pinetrees could be worthwhile. Pinetrees will also work on a NW.
http://www.hawaiisurfnews.com/ is your best bet for BI surf report.
My work schedule is tight this week so I won't be able to surf with you. |
