I'm working on a paipo made from a bit of salvaged plywood. The first layer of nature-friendly varnish is going on tomorrow
Length: from the ground up to my belly button. Width: pretty wide. It has no rocker so one can ride the it with the wide point forward or backward, depending on the waves.

Eef,
You wrote - "It has no rocker so one can ride the it with the wide point forward or backward, depending on the waves". I'll be interested to hear which way you reckon goes best?

Hello Bob,
i got the idea from SURFFOIL's flipper board: he uses a wide tail when the waves are weak and a small tail in the bigger, more powerfull waves.
I hope i didn't make mine to wiiiiiiiiiide, but we'll see in a few weeks whem all the varnish is on _________________ Increasing succes by lowering expectations

I am glad someone is still makeing paipo the old way. All you need is a piece of plywood and a wave to have a good time you might want to ware a swiwsuit also. We used to surf on cafeteria trays when I was 10 year old, also I love the artwork. Keep up the good work MIKE |

Cool board... also, nice to see the Vedic deity in the background.

EEF !
Thanks for the mention of my FLIPPER idea. Its probobly not new but I havent seen it used before.Let us know how it goest too. Any chance you might use an asymetrical outline as well to double your variations even more?
Ive still got a damaged shoulder but as soon as I can I'll finish off the thread about a board Im making for BGreen and show a few new ideas you might like as well.
Love your artwork, always individual !
