got this scrap oak board free. nobody wanted it, it had a big narel knot in it that the stuff that I like. the board was boiled and bent about 2" at the nose then 5 coats of tang oil. it is 1' wide and 47" long with a 2" bend in the nose. will ride it after the rain stop on monday?

nice stick mr mike, how long do you need to boil it to be ready for bending, is boiling as good a method as steam bending or perhaps easier and quicker. and what happens if you are on the beach after 11pm? nude! |

those sins are only for my beach if they can find the sign now
I did what pooba did soaked it in water for 5 days then boiled it in my turkey boiler for 30 min then clamped it to a form for 2 days. I have no way to steam wood so this is the poor mans way. I think they both work the same

and you can also do your wash when you done with your board but check for sliver in your shorts
