I would just like to welcome r32, who just dropped in whithout a whole lot of introduction. Which is good, but I didn't realize there was a new voice in there. R32 you are central coast? Where? Are you currently riding a paipo? What flavor? Favorite flipper, most painful wipeout, etc |

I did indeed drop in unnounced. haha.
Location: San Luis Obispo area.
Surfed most of the coastline from Washington border to Cabo San Lucas and Hawaii.
Preferred vehicle: body board
Also enjoy: bodysurfing, short+longboarding and recently Paipo-ing. Borrowed a piece of wood from a friend. It was about a 1' by 2' in shape with rounded edges and such and I proceeded to right a hidden point break up here. It was quite the wonderful experience, although several waves it almost slipped out of my hand on duckdives.
Most painful: Bodyboarding wipeout at Waimea shorebreak that caused me to tear some muscle tissue in my abdomen area and thus, having surgery when I returned to SLO.
Favorite flipper: Redley's but they don't make them anymore. Vipers I use for bodysurfing.
Riding since: 1987
First learned to boogie in the winter at Steamer Lane in my spring suit because that's all my dad could afford to buy me. Good times
Work: My own small advertising design company. We put together ad campaigns, web design, brochures, etc.
I've got 2 new big projects in the wings that I can't mention right now, but...one of them has to do with Paipo stuff. Thus, me finding this site and wanting to get more involved. Meet some new people.
Most recent trip: Nicaragua over the summer. (scored!)
Thanks,
Michael |

WOW! a secret paipo project! How cool! I am sure it involves James Bond, Barack Obama and Tom Morey as the evil spongey villian. Can't wait to hear about that either. Well seeing as you are in the general vicinity ( the middle of California) maybe we'll run in to each other. |
