I am participating with the Annapolis Surf Club in a Surfing Contest called "Ride for a Cause," in Sandbridge, Virginia Beach, VA, on September 27th. We will have six riders and be one of two teams from our area surf club, the Annapolis Surf Club. Most of the riders below are ASC folks except for Terry who sometimes posts on this forum. Hopefully Kokomo can make it - he is Janet (wife of our good friend Tumak) Harazda's brother, now living in the DC area.

There are 6 divisions in the contest. The one we will be participating in is "Team Surf." The entire team surfs together. Each team member’s highest score will be added to the team’s final tally. Each team member must fill out their own entry form and specify as to which team they belong. Six (6) people per team! No specific board requirements. One or two of us rode paipos last year.

We ended up riding the waves as an all-paipo contest team. Conditions were sloppy, but fun.
