John Mel of Santa Cruz has done well for a couple of us, Paipo Jim and myself included. He is prompt, converses with you on what you want or need, and communicates accurately on his schedule. Did a damn nice job on my Chillito (Red Snapper) fish paipo. _________________ rodNDtube

Crossed my mind right now that I communicated with a fellow in Oxnard who had a or a series of Bonzer bellyboards made by Malcom Campbell. That was in the waning days of maintaining a website, so I don't think I still have his info. Mark? Can't even remember the name. If you are (or he is) on the forum hopefully chime in. |

Skip down to the bottom of the page for my Baja report from 2003. A guy, whose name I can't remember, showed up at the camp a couple of plots down and he turns out to have 3 paipos made by a shaper by the name of Blair. This guy Blair is mostly a regular board shaper but had shaped a number of paipos for the Baja riding fellow. The boards mostly shared a common template and featured board length concaves.
Go to the bottom of the page (upper sections feature Terry on his hydrofoil paipo, a bodyboarding friend and myself).

I believe Blair was based out of N. San Diego or Orange counties. _________________ rodNDtube
