I was at the swapmeet the other day when I saw this guy with all these skim boards for $10 so I bought two. cut the nose off one and glued it to the other plus some scrap basswood then reshaped it. made some nice fins and a cross piece then repoxied it. I call this a simi spoon board or you could call it a teaspoon. it is 37"x21"x1/2" going to try it out in the morning MIKE

The board looks amazing Mike (love the roundish) shape, and so does the wingfin. Did you get to test it yet. _________________ Increasing succes by lowering expectations

Tried the teaspoon today the surf was 3 to 4 ft kind of mushey. the board worked well a little flexy but not bad. the wing fin worked ok but I think you need to get it up to 100mph for it to work. you would need a lot more surface area to work at low speeds but it look cool and that all that counts. Like I say you could take a 1/2 sheet of 1/2" ply from the home depot and have fun with it in the surf. MIKE _________________ PAIPO ON
