We talked before about using skimboards for paipos. Now you can buy an Asian made softie skimmer that won't get you in trouble in most designated swim zones. Yes, I know you could just order a custom thin sponge from a bodyboard maker, but not at this price...$69. I ordered a 41 inch model for Mrs. Poobah. I'll let you know how it rides and holds up.

The weight rating on a skimboard usually refers to the point where it's going to bog down in the water, and not necessarily the actual strength of the board. Prone riding is less stressful on the board, but how much less? We shall see. |
