A friend has a board about 4 to 4 1/2' long, about 2' wide and has a full square tail, a slight bit of overall rocker and a couple of extra inches of kick at the nose. It has glassed on colorless twin fins, which are fairly thin and sort of D shaped; about 4 inchers. It looks to be about made in the 70's??? The deck is yellow and has a 2 inch band of reddish color running along one side on the deck. Within the color band is printed "CALIFORNIA SURF".

That's all I remember from a quick look that I had of it. Can anyone tell me more about this board.

He wants to sell it for a good deal and asked me what it's worth_ I don't have a clue of what it's worth or the quality of the design. I expect it would catch waves and drive from a prone or knee position with good speed.

I put your question out and the responses I got were pretty much like my own. The "California Surf" thing sounds familar but nobody I contacted could place it. A photo might help. If anything more comes up down the line I'll put it up here.
